San Francisco Fun!

We've had some intense or serious blog topics throughout this training process. Well, this is not one of them! We are 72 days away from spending a weekend in San Francisco! (We'll ignore the mileage we'll be doing during that time.) Since we're making hotel & flight preparations, I thought it might be fun to keep a list of some things we might want to see or do while in this beautiful city. Granted we don't have that much free time but if you come across something or if anyone reading this has been to SF and has recommendations, please leave a comment with your ideas. If there are lots of ideas, we can whittle down the list, later. For now, brainstorm away!

crazy...I want a picture of Alcatraz. I don't have to go there, I just want a picture of it

Amy's suggestions from the e-mail about going to the Expo & Niketown fairly early sound good--other than that, I don't have any ideas at this point. Just want to see all of you :) And not use the word "potty" a single time in four days (is it possible?) And not do a single load of laundry. And possibly even eat a meal without getting up from the table 13 times. High expectations, I know!

So, my idea is to go on the Cable Cars - anyone else up for that? It seems pretty appropriate after walking/running so much to enjoy the city from a RIDING perspective! Also we aren't doing the Victory Celebration correct? But we ARE doing the pasta party, right? I have to write which ones I'm going to attend....

ME: yes to Pasta Party; no to Victory Party

I'm going to look into restaurants for Sunday night and see if I can find a cool place for dinner, etc. ;) and I'll send out an email to see who's interested & get a head count for a reservation.

So far, I think we can accommodate all the requests:
-pic of Alcatraz
-Cable cars
-Banning the word "potty"
-No laundry

What a demanding bunch! ;)

The cable cars sound awesome! I would like to go to the wharf as well...maybe by cable car?

Amy, I know I mentioned it to you, but maybe the rest of you have given this some thought too. I have been "listening to my body" after I run. It is telling me that after 13.1 miles that it wants pancakes and a martini. Not together, just in that order. So, in your restaurant hunt, keep all that in mind!

Kristin: yes to pasta (me say no to macaroni? are you kidding?); no to victory; yes to Amy finding a fabulous restaurant that I can blow the 1300 calories that I would have burned that morning.
