That's right, in just 2 months, we will be joining thousands of TNT members and supporters in the Golden Gate City, celebrating our accomplishments (along with 15 years of friendship) and icing our triumphant muscles! So, it's seems a good time to chime in with general updates. How are you doing and feeling at this point in the training? And how can we best support you?

2 Months From Yesterday
That's right, in just 2 months, we will be joining thousands of TNT members and supporters in the Golden Gate City, celebrating our accomplishments (along with 15 years of friendship) and icing our triumphant muscles! So, it's seems a good time to chime in with general updates. How are you doing and feeling at this point in the training? And how can we best support you?

In No Particular Order:
~I'm struggling with getting the running schedule in! Between the kids, an entire family's schedule, a house under construction, on and on and on, there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!
~I'm really enjoying long run on Saturdays. There is something about being with the large group of men and women who are training for the same reason.
~In the process of all this I'm very aware that we are coming up to the 8 year anniversary of Gid's diagnosis.
~I'm in shock that I can run/walk that many miles at a time!
~I'm getting nervous about the fundraising and wish that the money would just come in so I can stop thinking about it.
~I'm so excited about being in SF and experiencing all of this together.
-Currently, I've reached 13 miles & 52% of my fundraising goal so I'm half way on all accounts! And I'm feeling motivated to continue.
-I'm getting more excited for race weekend but I'm overwhelmingly grateful to have more time to prepare.
-Being part of this cause has made me more aware of how many people are living with cancer today. I just read that a friend lost her friend to cancer on Monday & I cried. I didn't know this person but it didn't matter. I'm proud to be working together with all of you to support patients & families & to help find a cure.
-Suppport for me: I find accountability helpful so feel free at any time to ask me about my training. Beyond that, encouragement & financial support are always welcome. (True for all of us.)
~ I'm just reviving my training schedule after being out for a month with a stress fracture. My longest mileage pre injury was 5 miles.
~ I'm at almost 60% of my fundraising goal. I have a few things in the works, but like everyone else, I'll be soooo happy when I reach my goal!
~ I'm nervous about traveling cross country alone. I had a little break down on rough plane ride in July, so I'm just not looking forward to that part.
~ I'm super excited about seeing all you girls in CA - and meeting a couple new friends there as well.
~ I'm so grateful that my sister Julie is able to come watch the girls for me that weekend.
~ I'm am also so grateful for each and every donation that has come in thus far. Without the donors, there would be no fundraising.
~ Most importantly, I think the LLS is an amazing cause to be running for, and it's an honor to be a part of it.
I AM...
~having a lot of fun! I dread the long runs but once I get going I feel great and enjoy it. The fun of it for me, comes from accomplishing the unbelievable. I can't believe I have run the distances that I have and am convinced that a lot more people could.
~scared. I also have hit the half-way mark in training of 13 miles. I have never run more than that and am nervous about the 13 more that I will add.
~sore. Last week, the increase in mileage hit me. My hip, knees, quads and shins hurt. All at different moments.
~getting burned. Anyone else having abrasions from your garments?
~encouraged. From all who donated to spur me on to the words that people are writing or saying, it is motivating me in this effort.
